Curator’s comments

The library's central atrium staircase provided Robinson with an appropriately monumental site to celebrate two important Columbus communities that no longer exist and that she had thoroughly researched-Sellsville and the Blackberry Patch. Robinson worked with a designed from Cincinnati to create scale drawings for the project. She labored to create simplified scenes that could be understood instantly and from a distance. Robinson hoped that the staircase art would inspire library patrons to want to know more about their own communities.
