Curator’s comments
In the summer of 1998, Aminah spent a month-long residency in Herzliya, Israel, sponsored by the Ohio Arts Council. She brought with her specially prepared deerskin parchments that she used to make delicate drawings in pen and ink and pastel of the people and places she experienced.
